A new class of peer mediators are ready to hit the pavement at Greenbriar School.

Peer mediators are 5th-grade student leaders who help fellow students resolve common conflicts that occur during recess time.  Teachers and staff nominated students for the program.

On Monday, December 3, these students completed a one-day training to help prepare them for beginning their duties on December 13. This is the second year of the program.

The mediators had a great time role-playing, getting to know one another, practicing the steps for mediation, and playing games.

They are even more excited to wear their bright green hats so students can spot them easily on the playground.

Congratulations to all the peer mediators!
