District 28 posts local non-profit and community partner flyers here in the District's "Virtual Backpack." This approach allows us to provide information about community programs in a way that is environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Carry 5: Walk for Water

The Carry 5 Walk for Water charity event will be held at noon May 19 at Meadowhall Park. This is Northbrook Junior High's charity of choice for 2018! The registration fee and t-shirt is $10. When you register, please join the Northbrook Junior High team. Register or Donate today!  

Northbrook on Ice

Northbrook Park District Sports Center presents is 49th annual skating show May 11 - May 13. This beloved annual show features toddlers through high-level soloists from the park district's skating program. Download the flier for details.

Kids Fishing Derby

Grab your fishing rod or use one of the park district's during the Fishing Derby from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 19 at Wood Oaks Green Park, 1150 Sanders Road. Open to youth ages 12 and under. Download the flier.

Special Gifts Theater Recruiting Students, Peer Mentors

Special Gifts Theater is a one-of-a-kind educational and therapeutic drama program based in Skokie. Special needs students are invited to sign up for programs, and typically developing students are invited to be Peer Mentors. Download the flier for details.

Northbrook Public Library Summer Reading Program

The library has a summer full of fun activities for their "Summer Reading Takes You Everywhere" program. The kick-off carnival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2. See details on the flier.
