3.  How much does KidCare cost?
The cost of the program varies according to how often your child is registered to attend. Payment is required monthly and is invoiced from September to May. The annual cost is divided into nine equal payments. Days off on the school calendar are taken into account when determining the annual cost.

Monthly tuition invoices are emailed on the first of the month and accounts must be paid by the 15th of that month or families may be dismissed.

6.  Is KidCare available for early release days?
The district has four days during the year when elementary-level students are dismissed at noon. KidCare is available from Noon – 5:45 p.m. for students whose parents specifically sign up for those dates. Please note that even students who are signed up for full-time KidCare in the afternoon must still be registered separately for the half day Institute Day care. Late pick-up fees will apply. 7. Can I change my child’s schedule after the school year has started?
Please contact Mrs. Hinken to discuss changes in your child's KidCare schedule. We HIGHLY encourage you to keep your child’s schedule as consistent as possible so everyone, including your child, knows where he or she is going each day after school. Any change in schedule should be communicated via email to Marion Hinken, your child’s teacher, the school secretary, and to the site KidCare Coordinator in advance.

8. Is there drop-in service for students?
Drop-in days are only available for parents who need their child to attend KidCare a few additional days in any given trimester. Children must be signed up for a minimum of two days per week to add a drop-in day. The cost for this service is $7 for AM and $14 for PM. Please note that drop-in slots are not available upon demand. Drop-ins will be billed on the next upcoming invoice.

For Drop-Ins, please follow these steps:
• Please send an e-mail as soon as possible to Director Mrs. Marion Hinken and the KidCare Coordinator for the school to confirm space is available.
• For afternoon drop-in: Since this is a change in your child's after-school plans, please communicate via email this change to your child's teacher, the site KidCare coordinator, and the school office following approval from the director that space is available.
• Please make every effort to provide 48-hour advance notice to get approval to use a drop-in day, so we can plan for your child's attendance and make sure everyone is aware of the change.
• If a situation arises that requires you to make an emergency request for drop-in, KidCare staff will make an effort to accommodate the request. For these requests, please be especially sure to contact by phone the KidCare Site Coordinator, the classroom teacher, and your school secretary. Teachers often do not see emails received in the afternoon, so this is especially important.

9.  Can my child walk to or from KidCare?
An adult must sign your child in and out of KidCare daily. This policy is in place to ensure your child’s safety.

10. When can I register for 2017-18 school year?
Registration for next school year will open in June.
